About Me

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. :)

I am about to enter my second year as a Kindergarten teacher, which I am so excited about! When I was hired last year to be a Kindergarten teacher, I was a bit hesitant since my previous experience lies within first and second grade. But I took the challenge head on, and now I’m in love with Kindergarten! I didn't realize how much fun I could have as a Kinder teacher, nor did I realize how much these little Kinders could teach me! It’s been one amazing and rewarding year and I am excited to see what this year has in store for me!

I have an amazing family who is very loving and supportive of me and my decisions. My mother is my best friend. She is the one who molded me into the woman I am today and without her I truly don’t know where I’d be.

I have the most incredible boyfriend who is always there for me and who always reminds me to smile no matter what. He is very supportive of every challenge I accept, and he is also the one who keeps me grounded by constantly reminding me to breathe and to take my time. Each day I’m reminded of how much I am truly blessed!

I love summertime! I love the beach and the feel of the sand between my toes! Flip flops excite me! :D

My newest obsession is bubble tea!

I am very crafty and love adding color to everything! I love to organize my classroom and am obsessed with buying new things that I can utilize at the dollar store and target! There are so many cute things out there! If it wasn't for my boyfriend keeping me in check at times, I’d probably be broke!

I love this quote above all the rest:

When things get really rough, I take a deep breath and repeat this quote to myself over an over again. When I’m done I feel calmer.

Through time, as I go through the motions of life, I've realized there truly are things that are beyond my control and I’m okay with that. All I can do is give everything my best and see what happens.

Two years ago I lost someone very special to me, my grandfather. He was the strongest man I knew and what he had accomplished in his life is remarkable. He was a good person and he always forgave those who had wronged him. From him, I have learned a lot. I am most thankful for the opportunity I had to know him for as long as I did. I will always miss him.

When I’m not teaching or working on a unit or activity I love to be outdoors and enjoy nature! I love to go on hikes and sight see. I also love to get lost in a good book.

I also love to write! I have so many ideas and so many stories that I've started; I just haven’t had the time to sit down and complete them. I will though, one day soon!

I love to travel. So far, I've been to Italy, Switzerland, France, and Germany! I can’t wait until next summer when I will return to Italy and visit Ireland for the first time!

I hope you've enjoyed reading a little bit about me. :) Again, thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit better! I hope you enjoy my blog and that you can utilize some of my ideas and products in your own classroom. Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments you may have at kindertykes@gmail.com.

Thank you! :)
