Teacher Week: Who link-up!

I am such a fan of linky parties! Today I’m linking up with other wonderful teacher bloggers on Blog Hoppin’ for Teacher Week! Head on over to their blog to check out their link-up for yourself. :)

Who am I??

My name is Anna and I'm a Kindergarten teacher/teacher blogger from New Jersey. I’m still fairly new to the big world of blogging, but I've already fallen in love with it!

I come from a big Italian family. I'm 28 years old and have two younger brothers who are 27, and 25. We are very close in age and although now it is a blessing, it most definitely was not when we were younger. We used to fight constantly!

I am very close to my family. My mother is honestly my best friend, and I don't know where I'd be today without her.

I have two boxers, Diesel and Gia, who I love more than words could even express. I've always been an animal lover.

My boyfriend is my best friend. He is supportive of everything I do, even the crazy things! I am extremely lucky to have in my life.

I love all of my friends, because they have been there for me through it all. Most importantly, I love my friends for always being themselves and for never sugar coating their advice and/or opinions. Honesty is very important to me.

I love to travel. So far I have seen Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belize, & Cayman Islands. I still have so many places to visit on my bucket list!

A few more things I love:
I am addicted to dark chocolate. Oh, it’s so good!
My drink of choice is iced tea.
I absolutely love lemon!
I love spicy food.  I put hot sauce on everything!
I am in love with chevron.

Coffee is my drug of choice.

Sometimes, I just go for a drive to clear my mind when I'm feeling overwhelmed.
I love running and spin classes! Oh, and the occasional zumba class too.
I love to cook and bake. Cake decorating is one of my fortes! :)

Now, it’s your turn. Tell us about you and link-up with Blog Hoppin’ by clicking the image below!

Meet The Teacher!! Linky Party!

Hi there! My name is Anna.  I'm a 28 year old living in New Jersey.  This is currently my second year as a Kindergarten teacher.  Previously, I was a first grade teacher for two years.

I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten, there is nothing like it!

I have the most amazing boyfriend, who has been there for me through it all.  He is my own personal cheerleader and he keeps me going.  I couldn't of asked for a more supportive, kind, and loyal man to spend my life with.

I am a huge animal lover.  I'm that person who can't bear to watch that commercial on television with the Sarah McLachlan song playing in the background.  (Animal lovers, you know exactly which commercial I am referring to!)  I have to either quickly change the channel or mute it, or else I find myself in tears!

I have two boxers at the moment, Diesel and Gia.  They are my babies!

This is Gia a few short months ago!  She is the newest addition to our already big family.  She will be a year old on the 22nd of August.  Wow, time sure does fly by!
Here is Diesel! :) He is now 7 years old, but he's still my baby!  Words cannot express how much I love that cutie right there!

I've been working all summer helping my brothers renovate some apartments.  It's been a fun and educating experience, however I now need some time to really relax!  My boyfriend and I are planning a short last minute vacation for the following week before school starts up again.  I cannot wait! :)

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

Flip Flops - The Beach - Traveling -Writing Stories - Creating my own colorful products - Netflix - Cheese! - Coffee! - Blogging - Blue Pens - Music - Animals - Bradley Cooper - Organizing.

IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?

When I was little I always wanted a job that helped people or animals. I wanted to a pediatric doctor, so I could take care of babies and children.  I wanted to be a Vet, so that I could take care of dogs, cats, horses, and all other animals.  At one point, I even wanted to be a zoologist, so that I could raise baby Tigers (Tigers are my favorite animals).

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.

Sincere.  Welcoming.  Understanding.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, "________, SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!"

"Why don't we have more teacher in-services...said no teacher EVER!!"

Q: IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?

Robin Williams, because he was my favorite comedian growing up and I truly believe he could put a smile on anyone's face, especially with his Mrs. Doubtfire routine!  Lucille Ball, whom I loved as a child and watched every I Love Lucy episode on Nick at Nite summer block party.

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?

Don't Let Them Bring You Down

Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?

I would love to be able to teleport myself to any location I wanted.  I would instantly travel the world and see alllllll of the places on my bucket list!

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

I love quotes!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

"Livin' on a Prayer!" - Bon Jovi

Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?

I am without a doubt a night owl!  I am most productive at night, and find that I am my most creative as well!  If I could stay up all night to finish a project, I would!! In the morning I'm like a zombie, seriously!  It's such a struggle and I am impossible to wake up.  I cannot function without my morning cup of coffee.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?

I am still fairly new to the whole teacher selling and blogging world, however my favorite items thus far are my Sight Word Printables and Classroom Job Cards!

There are 92 High Frequency Word Worksheets included in this product!
I love both of these products and use them both in my own classroom!

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

I was born into an Italian Family.  My parents both moved here in their twenties and the majority of my family (including grandparents) are still overseas.  I also spoke Italian before I could speak English, and I still speak Italian fluently.  :)

Oh summer, please don't rush!!

As I'm sure most teachers feel, I don't want summer to end!  Not yet anyways.  I feel like it's flying by.  Like seriously, where did July go?!

I'm excited about school and all, but this summer I have been so busy doing things for parents.  I swear I've been acting as a full time contractor while my father is away on vacation!  It's great in the sense that I've perfected my painting abilities and know much more about how to renovate apartments, etc.  My only complaint is all the days I've miss out on laying out poolside and perfecting my tan!  Tan?  Yeah right, what tan?  I'm still as white as I was in January!

I've been spending my nights with numerous hours on the computer creating lessons and units for this upcoming year.  I really enjoy it, but I'm taking a break this week.  It's about time for me to head back to school and get my classroom ready for September.  My goal is to get my classroom done this week (which is most definitely possible because I have my wonderful boyfriend helping me! I have to give him some credit :)).  Next week, I see myself laying out on some beach close to home!  Ah, hopefully that wish does come true!

I've been searching for linky parties to participate in, so that I can connect with other teacher bloggers.  I found this great link up on Farley's blog and wanted to participate! Thanks Farley!

She has rules set forth in order to join her link up, so if you decide to link up, make sure to follow her rules! :)

Enjoy the rest of your summer and Happy Saturday!!

As a new blogger, I've been eager to participate in Linky Parties but wasn't sure how to go about joining.  I've done a lot of research on how to join and better understand what a linky party was exactly.  Then, this wonderful teacher liked me on facebook and I couldn't be more thankful!   Jen at Teacher Karma has given me a lot of insight into the whole new world of linky parties.  Thanks Jen! :)
